Today, I was on my way to the National Assembly. To me, the National Assembly was not so interesting because I was living a wealthy life. Unlike other third estate friends, I did not have any problems with inflation because I was money lender. In fact, I earned even more money, these days, because people borrowed more money to keep their money. However, I did not like the tax taken by government. They were taking more than 50% of my earnings! I did not like the current government. As I was going to the assembly, lots of people were trying to steal my money pack. This made me very sensitive. When I reached Mayenne, passing multiple stores, a guy shouted and called me. I thought he was another thief, so I came to him very slowly. Surprisingly, he handed me coins that fell out of my pack. For a moment, I thought he was crazy, but I realized that he is very kind. I was happy to know that there were lots of moral people around those greedy people. I gave him the coins. He and I introduced ourselves. His name was Gautier Boucher. Also, I got to know that he was a shop owner. I visited his shop. Fortunately, he was getting ready for the National Assembly, too. I requested for a night in his house for tomorrow's assembly. I was very lucky to meet him because he let me sleep in his house. I was very worried because I did not have any place to sleep. I fell a sleep very quickly. The next day, I woke up by Gautier waking me up. I was extremely tired after riding horse all day. I did not want to wake up, but I had to because of the assembly. Gautier and I went to the assembly safely without any trouble. There were overwhelming people in front of the building.
In front of the building, I saw a guy with a guitar. I stared at him for while because he was standing out among all those crowed with the huge guitar. As the assembly got close, crowds started to move. At last, I found the guitar guy. I asked him, why he was here with that guitar. I got to know about him. His name was Ernest Bertrand. He was a musician. I got to hear that he was not really interested in this because he was not starving. I did not expect him to have wealth because usually, musicians were poor. Only in yesterday, I saw about 10 musicians starving and begging for money. Ernest came here not because of money problem, but he was bored. He came to the assembly only because it seemed like the major event. Meanwhile, Gautier was already gone. Ernest and I visited the assembly together, since we both were just watchers. When we entered the building, I got to see the King Louis. As I heard, he was chubby. Maybe it is because he is god's son, i don't know, but he was very different from other people. Everyone, from the first to third estate, was obeying to the king. Now, I was standing behind our representatives to watch the assembly.

After the assembly, there were so much problems. Our representatives were locked out, and we all went to the tennis court and had an oath. It was so much rage I did not even understand what was going on. After, revolution started. Problems were getting worse and worse after the revolution. No one is paying back my money, because they are on revolution. Before the assembly, I did not think revolution was required because I was already satisfied with my life. For very long time, I stayed in home with my family, never leaving my house. During staying in my home, I heard that Louis was caught and trialed, and was about to be executed. I did not want to go to the execution because I knew that there would be too much people there. I am more worried about who is going to rule us after the execution. Are there anyone better than Louis?
Few months ago, I almost got executed. My friend, Ernest Bertrand, betrayed me and sent me to the guillotine. Luckily, I proved that I was innocent, so I was sent back to the home. Although I did not like the revolution, I did not revel against revolution either. I don't know what happened to that man, but I never met him again. I hated Robespierre, because he killed so many people. He killed about 10 of my friends! I was very shocked for months. After the chaotic period, my business started to run normally, again. There is new ruler, called Napoleon, and he was at least better than Louis and Robespierre. However, I am puzzled, because he crowned himself as an emperor. Is he desired for more and more power? What is he trying to do? Well, that is his problem. People were back to their normal lives again. Everyone seemed to be happy. Even the baker, Henri, and bakery, seemed happy. He was very unsatisfied with King Louis because with his ruling, the bread price went up, but he did not get any money. I don't know if the revolution was good or not. For me, my earnings did not change much. In fact, it just gave me horrible memories of death.
